Hunter (1913-1997), A.B., Harvard (1935), M.D., Harvard (1940), Instructor at Columbia (1945-47), Assistant and Associate Dean of Washington University School of Medicine (1947-53), Dean of the University of Virginia School of Medicine (1953-65), UVA Chancellor for Medical Affairs (1965-70), UVA Vice President for Medical Affairs (1970-71), and Owen R. Cheatham Professor of Science (1971-91) at UVA.
